At about this time in 2016 I wanted to move to Cranbrook BC. I was 22 years old, I was lost and I had just lost my Grandad.
The thing is, I'm ok doing what I do. I'm living in Penticton right now. I work as a Educational Assistant and I enjoy the work. I have a very good base for my networth all things considered but I don't want to spend my whole life going to work and coming home and watching TV. There is more to life than that.
For instance, today I'm having a low key day. I'm watching NHL Trade deadline show on Sportsnet. These last 12 months have been super hard for me as I tried to eliminate negative things that were going on in my life.
I have made a lot of good steps this year but other things have came up that are getting in my way.
Friday will be my one year anniversary when I said Eff it and started to tell myself that I will always have enough money to live. I started to spend money as if I was spoiled. This wasn't a bad thing, in fact it made me realize a few things. Unless the market tanks, I will again finish the year above where I was last year. If I can do that again this coming year I'll be golden. The jury seems out if I can do that. The stock market is very shaky now and I'm not sure what it will do next.
It will be interesting to see how things turn out for me next year. The Kootney Ice are moving to Winnipeg so there goes my idea of moving to Cranbrook. I guess the silver ling is that all my missed opportunities have kept my financial situation really good. The problem is that my self esteem is not where it should be because of this. Oh well, I guess I have sports to always fall back on.

2015 Was the Beginning of the End for Memphis
I have reflected on a lot lately. I have been out of University for almost four years now and things have been getting wild. I don't even know where to begin sometimes. My emotions take me far away from where I want to be and then I end up falling short of my goals.
In May of 2015, the Memphis Grizzlies were 2-1 up on the Golden State Warriors and things went south from there for the Grizzlies and my life. For me this sucked because I was a die-hard Vancouver Grizzlies fan from back in the day. I was 21 at the time. However, I have cerebral Palsy so things click in to my brain about 2-5 years after everyone else.
That hasn't stopped me from being a huge sports fan and having a blog that I am proud of. Unfortunately, things didn't go our way. I regret being so emotional those two weeks and even that calendar year that I didn't enjoy that year.
After a long few years of trying to get back on my feet, I feel really good about myself right now. Similarity, the Grizzlies took a huge first step into rebuilding when they traded Marc Gasol earlier this month. I had been calling for this for about the last two years and I really think we got pretty fair return.
If you think about it, we turned Pau Gasol into Marc and now Marc Gasol into a younger version of Marc and two other players plus a future second round pick.
They still need a bit of a makeover. I doubt Mike Conley wins another playoff round in Memphis so they need a couple of franchise players to elevate them to where they were between 2011-2015.
The beginning of the end was May 11th 2015 and it has gone south since. Personally, I'm disappointed that things didn't happen sooner.
I'm doing better emotionally. I'm looking forward to the next year to see where it takes me but for lack of better word I feel like I have my Ducks in a row way better than I did in previous years.

What Will TSN Show Next Year?
Soccer is the most popular sport around the world and things will get more interesting next year when the EPL moves from basic cable to Dazn a streaming platform that is only available through internet access.
My concern is that I feel like the general public doesn't know about this yet. The ramifications of the move are still unknown. I'm curious to know who will stay and who will make the move.
The key answer to this question will be determined by what TSN and Sportsnet show instead. Only thing I can think of is Sportsnet covering the German top tier as Fox Sports 1 does south of the
border. As for TSN, they could show College Gameday on all four regional channels but I don't think tjhat's the safest bet.
I would love to speculate on what TSN should show but my heart has been broken too many times from speculating on what they should add since the advent of TSN2 in 2008.
The thing is, nothing much is happening in the sports world between the hours of 7am-noon Toronto time. There's always that or another sports league....
I can't be sure what the rules are in getting a TV contract but I know Spain and France have games on Bein Sports but it is only on 1-2 games a week. SN has the German league and I believe Italy is owned by DAZN as well.
The next best league on the list is the Russian league. Well it would be interesting and personally I would get hooked, I'm not sure that the rest of Canada would be.
I think it would be cool if one of the networks created like a Red-zone channel in football and showed live goals from the rest of Europe. This way we would be able to keep track of the top teams in the smaller leagues.
There will also be a Canadian Premier League starting this April. However, this would be able to take place later on in the day. It is a seven team league. Schedule or TV contract has not been reached yet.
