Putting New Mexico way down at #5 is pretty rough, considering they're still at #2 in the RPI, #3 in overall SOS, and still won the #1 RPI conference by two full games.
ReplyDeleteAlso consider that since 1994, the #2 RPI team's gotten a #1 seed 17 times and a #2 seed twice... and that's it. Nothing lower than a #2 seed.
People wanting to punish New Mexico for losing on the road to Air Force must not have noticed that Air Force also beat UNLV, San Diego State and Boise State at home. Air Force only got beat twice at home, and both of those losses were to NCAA-bound teams (Wichita State and Colorado St.)
Also... considering how many league leaders lost last week, the entire week was pretty much a push.
Thanks for your input. Its Greatly appreciated! If you think your team is that good, win the M. West Tourney. Nothing wrong with being a 5 this year. A lot of good teams ahead of you. Committee doesn't look at a throw away weekends. Trust me, I'm a Washington fan.
