Epic NBA and NHL Awaits.

We are getting into a golden weekend of sports as the week has progressed, Las Vegas is in the Stanley Cup and the Cavs and Warriors are looking or a rematch for the fourth straight year in a row.

Will it happen? My gut says that it won't. Both NBA Conference Finals are now down to a Best of 3. I will be missing most of the action this weekend but family stuff have to be taken care of first.

Oh ya,  almost forgot to mention that the Capitals and Lightning will play a decisive Game 7 tonight that will likely decide who wins the Stanley Cup. I mean, I ave no interest seeing an expansion team hoisting the Stanley Cup in their very first year.

I hope Boston wins tonight. I could use some new blood in the NBA Finals. At the end of the day, its almost a crap shoot. I am hesitant to pick them however because of their lack of experience.

Enjoy the the next few days sports fans, it should be very memorable.

May 18th, 2018

Why is it so hard for people to include people that need to feel loved? I have friends but sometimes I don't see them as much as I want.

I take my mind off that kind of stuff from watching sports. I have tried to get into every league and from now on, I'm going to write whatever comes to mind that day. It doesn't have to be in a blog format. It will be may personal spin on things of the day, mostly the sports day.

For instance, today is a pretty slow sports day, no NBA tonight. NHL and I don't really have a preference of who wins.

Hoping the Oregon Ducks beat Drake today in the Softball regionals. That game is at 3pm.

The FA Cup final goes tomorrow, Chelsea and Man United. Both teams will be playing in European tournaments next year so nothing is on the line in that regard.

I'm a bit irritated with the way my life is going right now. I'm having a cross the country trip withdraw right now. I need to plan a trip but working on Finances. I need to make sure those are always going up with all the other things I got going in life now.

Thanks for the read, love you guys!

Suns Need to get This Pick Right

I have never witnessed my favorite team picking #1 overall in a sporting league draft,. The Mets picked 1st last in 1994, I was barley 1 year old at the time.

This is not something someone should ever wish for, but when the potential is there fans will pull out every lucky charm. I wasn't even watching on TV. I was planning on it but never got to the local pub until 5:25 and well being in Canada, the TV's were all set to the hockey game anyway.

For this particular draft, I almost wish they had scored the 3rd or 4th pick. Would have made the next six weeks interesting.

Here's the thing, Michael Porter Jr. was Mock draft #1 at the start of the year. Due to his injury, he has slipped to between #4 and #6. Another thing to keep an eye on is who the Kings will take at #2. They have their PG in Fox, so will they choose Doncic or Bagley.

The third pick will be whoever is not taken at #2 but the pick at #4 is where things will start to get interesting. Between Jackson, Bamba, Porter, Carter and Young it seems to be a close race. To me, Bamba and Young seem like boom or bust picks. Young at times seems like the second coming of Stephan Curry and Bamba gifted in his own way but in a point guard league, I would be hesitant to pick him in the Top 5.

I can't see the Suns taking anyone but Ayton. It will be fine, it will complete our starting lineup with Booker, Warren, Jackson and Bender also being Suns draft picks in previous years.

That being said, the Suns need to put themselves to win and make the playoffs not next year but the year after that. Since 2015 there has been too much drafting and not enough marquee trades that held them back. Their defense was absolutely horrible last year and this slow rebuild has been painful to watch.

Picking Ayton will be awesome but I have a crazy feeling that someone else in the Top 6 will be win a Championship ring before Ayton.

My hope lies with how well the 76ers did this year which gives me hope for the Suns.

The West is strong though and the Suns are in the toughest division.

Cardiff City Will Add to my Interest of the EPL

Cardiff City clinched promotion to the England Premier League yesterday with a 0-0 draw at home on the last day of the season. For me, as a Canadian this is something special. Junior Hoilett who was a Canadian National team holdout for years has now committed to Canada and now will be playing in the best league in football next year.

This is meaningful because during the season, Junior Hoilett was the top scorer for all competitions with 11. If Hoilett can have a major season next year, it puts Cardiff City and Canada in a good position.

For one, this year, will likely be the first time in awhile that all previously promoted teams will stay up. This isn't a fluke in my opinion, with the TV deal increasing revenue for Premier League clubs, the teams are needing to spend money to stay up and they are doing it.

Secondly, take a look at Burnley this year. They are ending a 57 year European Cup drought next year when they compete in the Europa League. Greatest story in English football this year in my opinion. That's amazing!

Burnley isn't spending much but it goes to show that small clubs are having success. In 2013-14, Cardiff was not only relegated but they finished bottom. For some reason, I feel this time around could be different.

Teams that have recently struggled significantly have eitherP flirted with disaster too many times like Sunderland or have just lost complete focus on goals like Aston Villa that also were close to relegation the previous years before they went down.

Bornemoth, Watford and Crystal Palace are all small clubs that were big favourites to go down in last place in their first year and not only didn't but are still up years later. In fact, I'm surprised Brighton & Hove Albion have had a successful season this year.

I hope they do well. I will be pulling for them, Swansea might not be there next year but Cardiff will and hopefully this time it's longer than a cup of coffee this time.
