I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of seeing the same eight teams in College Football knocking at the door to make the College Football playoff. It is just simply unfair that other teams like undefeated UCF out of the playoff.
The College Football committee has created a formula where the most popular schools get into the playoff. Hec, Alabama didn't even win their division last year and still got in.
I guess using Alabama is a bad example because they were one of the four best teams but I still can't figure out why they don't put more emphasis on winning their division. For instance, Wisconsin
seemed penalized for losing a Big 10 Title game last year after running the table and going 12-0.
If the Big 10 was ten teams would they have got snubbed? That would have been a very hard thing to imagine.
In the short infancy of the four team playoff format, we have witnessed that losing one game doesn't hurt your chances. Ohio State in 2014, Washington in 2016 and Alabama in 2017. If this is the case, there is no incentive to schedule tough games as Washington got in with a loss at home to USC one year with no key non conference wins.
If this is going to be the case, why play tough teams in Non conference. Ohio State will still get into the CFP this year if they win out this year despite a loss to below average Purdue.
If Michigan had played a bad non conference schedule this year they would be undefeated and ranked 4th in the country. So yet again, Michigan hurts themselves for playing a tough schedule.
SOS should matter but not if you can't even win your own division. UCF has no shot at the CFP despite the Nations longest winning streak.
The four best records should get in. SOS should be the tie breaker if records are equal cause if Wisconsin was an Independent school they would have had a undefeated season.
A conference loss should be worse than a Non conference loss to encourage high profile games in early September.
Also, conferences should be capped at 10 teams to avoid what happened last year.
The CFP Final 4 if the season ended today should be:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. UCF
Missed Cut:
5. Michigan
6. Oklahoma
Things get interesting if LSU beats Alabama this week on CBS.

My Sports Teams Are in a Slump
I hate things that I can't control and between 2010-2015 things were difficult for me. I was starting to feel that I was being left out among my peer group. Along with that, my patience was hard to come by and I took it out on my sports teams.
The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl in 2010 but I didn't really enjoy it. Luckily, I was a Packers fan because my Dad is so I didn't want to be a die-hard Packers fan because I got talked too when I got upset after a loss but their was no one to tell my Dad to smile after a loss.
At one point, me and my Dad shared the Packers and Mariners. We have different teams for hockey and he is still a NBA orphan from when our Vancouver Grizzles moved.
Sports our weird like that, I can't imagine the Memphis Grizzles ever winning a NBA Championship. The Seattle Mariners have the longest playoff drought in North American sports but their day will likely come in the next 15 years.
For me, cheering for different teams relaxes me. Mets, Suns, Canucks and Seahawks. I was lucky to win a Championship when my mental health was under control in February 2014. I had my Mets get to the World Series in 2015, I was starting to feel spoiled.
Now, I haven't see a playoff game since January 2017 and I'm struggling. It goes in cycles I guess but I do wonder what it's like being a Mariners fan right now. If I had never changed any of my teams, I would have had Grizzlies, Mariners, Canucks and Packers.
The sky is higher for those teams but with my current teams there is a higher floor which is not always a good thing.
Glad I'm taking care of my mental health but there are days I could have done that by just moving away and starting fresh.
I have 79 days left until I start fresh and I'm looking forward to it.

Rules of Life for Your Money
I just read that student debt is increasing and that more and more adults are still living with their parents. Living with your parents is great as long as their is boundaries. By the time a kid is 21 the parent shouldn't have any input on what the kid does or where they move. The kid has to figure that stuff out on his own eventually.
There should be some rules that follow between Parent and kid rules.
1. Kids over 21 should move out once they hit a net-worth of 10,000.
2. If the city where there parents are in has a rental market that is too high the kid should be able to move without parent complaints.
3. Parents should stop buying groceries for kids after 18 if net worth is over 10K.
4. Family visits should happen on special events or on long weekends. Every week is too often unless there is grandchildren involved.
5. Parents need to stop pointing out the obvious. It makes the kid look dumb.
6. Advice is allowed only when the kid is on the brink of homelessness.
I don't know why kids want to live with their parents. Yes, its comfortable but it's not the answer. For instance, cost of living is lower in most countries outside of the USA and Canada. How about travel to developing countries and live there. Make money by teaching ESL and writing a book about your experience.
Lots of ways to make money while being frugal but anyone in there 20's doesn't want to do it.
I'm lucky enough to have some wiggle room but it's almost uncomfortable for other reasons. I have grown my net-worth every year but this year has been harder due to 2-3 complications. I'm starting to realize that if it goes down in 2018.
Here are your benchmarks how much you should have by age:
Some of the things about the graph are self explanatory. I started at 21 because most people stay in college for a few years. I don't start at $0 at 21 because your allowed to work while going to school and some kids have something called Grandparent money for a Grad present and so on.
As you get older, you can save more, buy a house and get promotions. This all can lead to appreciation. A good time to retire is 58 and by my math you'll have 26,000 to spend per year. (Pensions and landlord money and this can be increased.)

Week 7 in the NFL
One thing about having the Sunday Ticket is the awesomeness to watch every game you want. There are certain stadiums I enjoy watching games in and that kinda determines what game I watch in what window.
My predicted teams that will win are in are in bold.

Oregon is Back!!!
The Oregon Ducks football team is back!1 We defeated a Top 10 team and a Pac 12 Divisional rival that has put Oregon in a position that if they win out, they have a slight shot of being in the CFP.
All Oregon needs to do is win out and have Washington beat Stanford later in the season. If that happens, Oregon will win the North and play for the Pac 12 Championship.
Right now, you could argue that Oregon football has never been higher. 2008-2014 were great years for Oregon but the next great era might have arrived with Mario Cristobal. With the #3 recruiting currently for Oregon, this could be something really special.
Has the balance of power shifted? I desperately want to say yes but I also know that Washington isn't going away either. For now, Oregon is climbing. I really hope Mario Cristobal says at Oregon for a long time. He is a proven recruiter and that should help keep Oregon relevant for a long time.
The win feels like a program changer. A loss would have gave UW that big brother feel that the Ducks didn't need. What makes things tricky is the unbalanced schedule of conference play in the Pac 12 that makes comparing records super hard within the conference.
Lets enjoy the win and enjoy the rest of the year. If we can return to our dominance of 2008-2014, Ducks football is going to be fun again.

My Stock Portfolio
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone. Today I reflect on a lot. I currently don't work but have over 50,000 in my net worth . I have Cerebal Palsy so working a 9-5 job isn't realistic despite being 100% independent. I don't really know what I want to do with my life. I'm currently living in Penticton British Columbia however I'm not sure how long I want to live here for.
I'm lucky that I was able to dip into the stock market when I was a young adult and have seen some gains over the last handful of years. There are a few things that have me concerned unfortunately.
1. I feel we have reached the end of this golden era of stock growth, I fear a stock market crash is coming soon and I don't want to lose my gains.
2. I have Pot stocks that have earned me a bit of money but I'm not sure what to do after October 17th.
3. Stocks vs money towards a down payment for an apartment?
I've really struggled with these three questions the last 6 months. I don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you can see with the table above, I have put 8,314 in the stock market and have currently 28,123 in my portfolio. I don't want to lose the gains and I also want to free up some money for if there's a crash I put money on stocks that are under valued when the stock market comes out of the crash.
Bank of Nova Scotia is the best stock I have but grows at a slow rate. Disney does well for me but that's the stock I have the least amount of shares in. The others are all smaller but have a chance at going up with time.
I will pay someone commission if we can work on my portfolio together. Just really at a crossroads with this stuff.
Thanks guys!
